About Our People
Businesses are comprised of individuals and the personalities, interests and perspectives of those individuals greatly impact the experience of working with that company. We are very proud of the people here at EP and want you to know more about what shapes our points of view.
John Cox
John forms the core of the business perspective of the EP triad, with a passion for understanding business models and applying software products to opportunities that exist therein. He is most at home in front of entrepreneurs, clients, and EP colleagues strategizing, brainstorming, and decomposing new product and business ideas. John brings a very diverse business background and skill set to EP, having served in roles including product marketing, business development, sales, product management, finance, and technology implementation. Prior to founding EP, he was a successful leader and manager with software and internet technology firms BetweenMarkets, Coremetrics, and Trilogy Software, as well as a handful of other entrepreneurial efforts.
John holds an MBA from the UCLA Anderson School of Management as well as Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Southern California and the University of Texas, respectively.
Chris LaCava
Chris brings an intense focus on user-centricity and passion for solving software usability problems to EP, leading our product and interaction design and user interface development practices. His education, skills and experience allow him to converse fluidly with business stakeholders, customers, and engineers alike. Prior to founding EP, Chris was a prolific freelance product designer and served in similar positions with Planview, Works, Marsh & McLennan and InsuranceOrder. He’s also a musician, scuba diver, excellent father, and zombie movie aficionado.
